Filipino Cheese Bread Recipe (different Version)



This recipe is similar to pandesal that i posted here.the only thing difference is i added food coloring to achieve the yellow color.


Recipe for the Dough

4 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp dough conditoner
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cup warm whole milk
3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
3 egg yolks
3 drops of yellow food coloring(i use gel)
For the toppings:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup graham crackers finely crushed
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup star margarine you can use butter here if you don't have star margarine i just like to get the a little authentic here :)
1 drop of food coloring

Procedure:
1-take 1 tbsp granulated sugar and sprinkle it to the warm milk whisk it then, add  the food coloring then the yeast, and set it aside.
2-combine all dry ingredients.which is sugar, salt & dough conditioner
3-in the bread machine bucket pour half of the flour mixture
4-follow the yeast mixture, the remaining of the flour and the rest of the wet ingredients.which is the butter and the egg yolks
5-put the bucket back into the bread machine and let the machine need the dough
6-when the machine finish let the dough rest for 1 hr.
7-after the dough resting punch it down and divide it into your desired size(i weigh mine 45g each)
8-roll each dough into a ball and then, roll it into the toppings mixture
9-roll the dough in between of your palm to adhere the toppings
10-let it rest again for another 1 hr.
11-after the dough rested for the second time pre heat your oven to 350 degrees and bake it for 15 to 18 minutes.enjoy
