Ube Cheese Pandesal

Ube Pandesal Recipe

  • Note: I always used my bread machine to knead my dough. But it is also can be done by hand

Ingredients:

3 Cups All purpose Flour
1 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Instant Yeast
1-1/4 Cups Warm Whole Milk
3 Tbsp Softened Unsalted butter
1 Tbsp Ube Flavoring
1 Cup Ube Halaya
1/2 Tsp Purple Food color (optional)
3 Egg Yolks
Cheese (choose your favorite. I used Eden cheese)
Breadcrumbs for coating

1) Warm up your milk in a microwave for 1 minute. ( your milk should hot but not too hot to touch)

2) Sprinkle 1 tbsp granulated sugar into the warm milk and add the yeast whisk and set it aside until it is foamy.

3) Combine all the dry ingredients

4) In the bread machine bucket pour in the milk and yeast mixture, butter, flour mixture, halaya, ube flavoring, food color and the egg yolks. Let the machine knead the dough.

5) Once the finished machine knead the dough you can take out the dough and put it in the greased bowl or you can just leave the dough inside the machine until it doubled in size but make sure you grease the top. To prevent from crusting.

6) While waiting for the dough to rise, divide your cheese into cubes you need 34 pcs.

8)Divide the dough by cutting it into 45g each.

9)Flatten the dough add the cheese in the middle and sealed by pinching each side roll the dough into a ball and roll it into the breadcrumbs. Do this into all the divided dough.

10) Once you shaped all the dough cover it and and let is rise again for another 45 minutes.

11) bake the dough into preheated 350F oven for about 15-18 minutes.

Enjoy 😘😍

Store of the bread: 3 days in a room temperature 2 weeks in the freezer.
